Xiaomi is planning to expand its smartphone series, the Xiaomi 12, with a new device called Xiaomi 12 Lite. The release date has not yet been announced, but customers in Azerbaijan can now pre-order the handset. According to GizmoChina, Xiaomi 12 Lite is available for pre-order in Azerbaijan, as confirmed by Xiaomi Azerbaijan’s official Instagram page. However, the device is not listed on Xiaomi Azerbaijan’s website. Additionally, an Azerbaijani website has leaked information about the smartphone’s design, specifications, features, and price.
In terms of pricing and availability, Xiaomi 12 Lite can be pre-ordered through Xiaomi’s offline store in Baku, Azerbaijan until July 8. The smartphone is priced at 999 AZN, which is approximately Rs 46,400 for the Azerbaijani market. It is expected to be released in different markets at varying prices. The Xiaomi 12 Lite will come in three color options, including black, pink, and green variants.
In terms of design and specifications, the Xiaomi 12 Lite is expected to be lightweight and thin, similar to its predecessor, the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE. It will weigh around 173 grams and have a thickness of 7.29mm. The display will feature a punch-hole design for the selfie camera.
The Xiaomi 12 Lite will have a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision support. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 778G mobile platform, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. However, there may be other RAM and storage options available in different markets.
The smartphone will feature a triple rear camera setup, including a 108MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies and video calls, it will have a 32MP front camera. The device will be equipped with a 4,300mAh battery that supports 67W charging. The charger will be included in the package. The Xiaomi 12 Lite will run on MIUI 13 based on Android 12.
Other special features of the Xiaomi 12 Lite include a stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos and spatial sound technology support, as well as an in-screen fingerprint scanner.
Additionally, a rumor suggests that the Xiaomi 12S Ultra will feature Sony’s IMX989 1-inch sensor.
